Day School
The Church of the Good Shepherd has been offering developmentally appropriate care for children of working parents, in a Christian environment, since 1955. We serve children from six weeks to five years old in our five-star rated center. The rich history and superior rating of our Day School program speak to the stable environment that you will find here for children, teachers, and parents.
Our hours of operation are 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. year round. We provide breakfast, lunch and snack for all of our children. We serve a healthy and well-balanced lunch in the Day School Cafeteria where children begin to learn table manners. We follow an enhanced teacher to student ratio making us one of the few programs in the city providing this high level of care and attention. We have an infant room, starting at six weeks old and welcome breastfeeding families. The Creative Curriculum provides our teachers with a framework for developmentally appropriate activities in all classrooms – from infants to Pre-Kindergarten. Starting at age 2, the children participate in weekly chapel services led by members of the clergy. Music class is taught every week by the organist/choir master and children participate in “extra curricular” opportunities include Karate lessons. You do not have to attend the Church of the Good Shepherd in order to enroll your child at Good Shepherd Day School. Please call to make an appointment for a tour. Experience for yourself the special environment of love and learning we have cultivated here at Good Shepherd Day School for over 60 years. Good Shepherd Day School is an equal opportunity provider.
