A class for 6th and 7th graders to begin exploring the basics of our faith as Episcopalians. Participation in this class will serve as preparation for the youth who would like to be confirmed.
September 13 - What Do You Bring?
Why what we bring matters to our life and to our faith, and how it matters to God.
September 20 - Beginnings: Baptism and Confirmation
Baptism is a way of saying “yes” to God and confirmation is a way to affirm that “yes.” We will explore the beginnings of a new life in Christ.
September 27 - Knowing our History
Our history helps us know who we are. How did we become the Episcopal Church? How did we get here, and how does our history influence our life together today?
October 4 - Worship
We will look at the ways in which our worship together in the Episcopal church is a response to all God’s blessings.
October 11 - Spiritual Practices: Time
October 18 and 25 - The Bible: Stories of Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow
The Bible reveals God to us through stories of God’s actions in the world. We will learn about some the key stories that reveal God’s great love for us.
November 1 - Spiritual Practices: Play
November 8, 15, 22 - Faith: What do we believe
Our faith is a new way of seeing the world, but our way of seeing changes as we change. What do you believe?
