The Episcopal Church Explored
An Exploration of the History, Theology and Spiritual Life of the Episcopal Church

Beginning Sunday, September 28th at 4:00 p.m. in the Parlor (Six-Weeks Running).

The Rector will lead this six week afternoon forum is an exploration of the Episcopal Church--it's history, theology, sacraments, prayer book, prayer life and more.  This forum is intended for all those who are inquiring about the Episcopal Church, curious about what it's all about and for those who wish to renew their baptismal promises through an adult proclamation of faith.  For those who grew up in the Episcopal Church "confirmation" is the term used.  For those who are coming to the Episcopal Church from a different denomination "reception or reaffirmation" are the terms used. Scott1_md For confirmed Episcopalians who wish to renew their committment to God, "Reaffirmation of Baptismal Vows" is the phrase used.  No matter the phrase the action is the same--an adult public affirmation of faith.  The bishop will be with us on Sunday, February 9 and those who wish to be confirmed or received or renew their baptismal promises will be welcome to do so at this time.  However this forum is for anyone who is interested no matter your intrest or desire to come before the bishop.  Ashley and Ellen Proctor will assist in facilitating the group.  Ashley and Ellen have recently completed this class themselves and they have great insight and excitement to the processes. There is an online registration for at the church web site and you can call Sheryll Barnes at the church to register 442-1134 x221.
